Our city is becoming more and more attractive for students from abroad. In an exchange only at UJ 500 foreigners will slowly come to Krakow foreign students under the Erasmus exchange. Erasmus is a European project that allows students to travel abroad for part of their studies in the framework of agreements between individual universities. The program involved all member states of the European Union plus Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey. To participate in the exchange, students must a year earlier to complete an application and demonstrate good results in science. Then receive a scholarship that covers part of the cost of departure. The exchange usually lasts one semester, although sometimes you can extend your stay for an additional six months. The Erasmus program involved a number of Krakow universities. Most students arrive at the Jagiellonian University. This year, their arrival at the winter semester declared as many as 500 foreigners. Many students from abroad also come to the University of Economics - nearly 150 University of Science and Technology - including about 150 and Cracow University of Technology - about 160. He says Magdalena Krasowska University of Economics, the majority of students are coming to Krakow from Germany, France and Spain.
