Hundred lesson about MOCAK Collection

From April to December 2016 under the project "One hundred lessons for Collection" Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow will hold hundred free museum classes and workshops devoted to the works of contemporary art from the collection MOCAK.
The project provides for organizing a series of one hundred free educational classes dedicated to contemporary art. It is directed to a diverse audience, from preschool children, schoolchildren, students and adults, the disabled, seniors and people with limited access to culture. The main objectives of the project are: to encourage schools and other educational institutions to incorporate contemporary art into their program, the dissemination of knowledge about the phenomena of importance to art and to familiarize participants with the figures of the artists whose works can be seen in MOCAK Collection. We hope that the classes encourage active participation in the events of artistic and cultural life.

Lessons and workshops will be tailored to the needs of customers. In the case of groups of children, particular emphasis will be to familiarize the participants with the techniques of plastic. As for the youth, the organizers will focus on supplementary information knowledge acquired during the preparation for the matriculation examination or secondary school. The aim of the classes for seniors will equip them with the tools for self-collection of contemporary art. Among the groups of people with disabilities will be people with sight and hearing impairments, as well as children with emotional difficulties and manifested anti-social behavior. For this group of participants will be prepared a special program of workshops, using techniques explore the art of the possible for the participants of the senses, and in the case of young people set to activate pro-social behaviors. Workshops with the prisoners and the homeless will put emphasis on the ability to express emotions.
