In 1898, on the property Eng. Anthony Matecznego at a depth of 36 meters was discovered healing mineral water. This was confirmed Balneological Institute in Vienna and the Institute Dr. Odo Bujwida in Krakow.
In 1905 the Department launched Bathing Water Sulfuric Solankowa, which was active until World War II. Every year in the summer season benefited from a bath of about 400 patients. The plant was the duty doctor and qualified bathing. In addition to the residents of Krakow, the treatment plant used also visitors from further pages. This water has a high mineralization (approx. 3000 mg / l minerals), high magnesium content (approx. 100 mg / l), calcium (approx. 200 mg / l) and sulfate (approx. 1200 mg / l), moderate amount NaCl (approx. 1000 mg / l), the low content of bicarbonate (approx. 340 mg / l) and trace amounts of selenium.
In connection with the recovery by the heirs Matecznego Team Krakow Spas lost the right to the property and its activities focused on health resort Swoszowice, where he also moved his seat. In 2003, the property acquired by the heir to the Company IPR.
